System Requirements

info
- The system requirements below apply for on-prem deployment of the DCC Importer CLI only.
- No installation is necessary when using our Web Platform to convert assets. Note however the Web Platform uses 3ds Max 2025 and V-Ray 6; Max 2026 files will not convert on the Web, and Max files using V-Ray 7 may convert properly as long as they use pre-7 features.
- The RapidPipeline DCC Importer CLI requires an Enterprise or Custom Plan.
- Intel or AMD x64 processors;
- Python 3.9 to 3.12, included;
- Windows 10 and up, Windows Server 2016 and up;

- 3ds Max:
- Supported Versions: 2023, 2024, 2025, 2026, with any update packs;

- Supported Versions: v6.X and v7.X, any update;
- Recommended Version: Version v7.X or newer.
note
- Processing of files created by older versions of both V-Ray and 3dsMax is supported.
- Visual differences might occur, in relation to the application version they were originally created on, due to changes/updates to 3ds Max and/or V-Ray.
- At the moment, results should be expected to be comparable with how they look in the version of the Host DCC applications currently executing the DCC Importer Module.
caution
Python 3.9 is being deprecated by the Python Software Foundation on October 2025. As such, we expect the last DCC Importer version to support Python 3.9, 3ds Max 2023 and V-Ray v5.20.3 to be released by the end of September 2025. We recommend our users to update to newer versions before then.
